William Steed

Alliance: William E. Steed 74, beloved partner of Alice Orr Welch passed over on Sunday, March 15, 2015. He was born in Alliance, Ohio on May 12, 1940 to Edna Steed. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1958. After graduation he joined the U. S. Navy and spent some time in communications on the island of Guam during the Vietnam War. He worked as a typesetter at the Alliance Review for more than a decade. He worked as the head bartender and was a Tyler for 20 years at the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his son, Andrew (Angela) Steed Daughter: Amy Beth Steed Brother: Louis (Willonette) of SC Sister: Linda Brooks of Alliance Grandchildren: Kolton and Kassie Steed of Alliance Preceding him in death were his mother Edna Steed and brother, Thomas Steed. A celebration of his life will be held at the Elks Lodge at a later date.
