Tracy L Nicholas (Tonsing), passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 3, 1960, to Henry and Jean (Wilson) Tonsing of Deerfield. She fearlessly fought a difficult battle with Pancreatic Cancer for the last 18 months. Her life was spent volunteering. She helped teach art at Rootstown Elementary School, served as a 4-H advisor and volunteer in portage county for over 10 years and also volunteered to care for animals at the APL. Tracy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; gardening, going to yard sales with her sisters, crafting, riding motorcycles with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Tracy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Brian; her children Amy Terry and Kelly Nicholas Medina (Christian); her beloved grandchildren, Ali Terry, Evylee Adkins and Reese Adkins; a brother, David (Kathy) Tonsing; her sisters, Janet Wavrek (Dan), Sue Hughes (Scott) and Sharon Pettigrew (Dave); and many nieces and nephews. No services have been planned at this time. A memorial event will be planned in the coming months.
