Thomas Cammett (Age 51) On May 16, 2015, of Ravenna, Ohio. Beloved father of Elizabeth, Nicholas, and William; and brother of William, Gregory, Timothy, Christopher, and Catherine . Born in Geneva, New York as the second of twin boys to Gordon and Lewise Cammett. Graduated from Penn Yan Academy in Penn Yan, New York. Member of the 1980 Section 5 Class A Championship Penn Yan Mustangs and the All Greater Rochester (NY) football team. Graduate of Hiram College (1985) with a degree in Communications. Placekicker on the 1982 Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship football team. Tied or still holds five school records. Public Information Officer and Sports Information Director at Hiram College (1994-2001), Sports Information Director at Kent State University (2006-2009), team photographer for the Cleveland Gladiators (2008-2010), Photographer for Diamond Images (1995-2014), Record Publishing (1999-2005), WireImage.com (2005-2007), Getty Images (2007-2011). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Ravenna (OH) Hospice Center or to the Penn Yan (NY) Football Association. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday June 2, at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna, OH. Calling hours begin at 6 p.m. the service begins at 7 p.m. with Father Bill Kraynak officiating. A small reception will be held in the church hall following the service.
