Teddy L. Jones, born on August 15, 1949, in the heart of America, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy that encompasses his dedication to family, his industrious spirit, and a profound love for life.
A proud 1968 graduate of West Branch High School, Teddy’s early years were marked by a fervent commitment to learning and growth. He went on to serve his country with distinction in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Arizona, Louisiana, and Arkansas. His military service shaped his character and instilled in him values that would carry throughout his life.
Professionally, Teddy made significant contributions during his tenure at Miller's Airport and later at General Motors, from which he eventually retired. His work ethic was a reflection of his steadfast nature, and he was well-respected by his peers.
Teddy was not only a dedicated employee but also shared his talents through various hobbies and interests. He was an avid four-wheeler and a passionate fisherman, often finding solace in the great outdoors. His woodworking skills were exceptional; he had the unique ability to build just about anything, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship that defined him.
Surrounded by his loved ones, Teddy's memory will live on through his son, Stephen (Justin) May-Jones, and his daughter, Carrie (Johnnie) Williams, and his cherished grandchild, Zeb Jones. He is survived by his siblings, William (Lisa) Jones, Judy (Whitie) Jones, and Amy (Craig) Jones, who will fondly remember him for his warmth and kindness. Lifelong friends Tom and Elaine Woolfe remain heavy-hearted at the loss of such a valuable companion.
Teddy is reunited in eternity with his beloved wife, Sondra (Bradt), and his parents, William Jones and Lillian (Shorey) Jones. His life was a tapestry woven with love, camaraderie, and commitment, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his indomitable spirit and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
