Stewart W. Huston, Jr. "Billy" passed peacefully February 7th, 2025, at Salem North Healthcare Center where he had been a resident for 11+ years. Billy was born June 8, 1953, in New Castle, PA to the late Stewart W. Huston, Sr. and Frances (Hutton) Huston. At birth he weighed less than 4 pounds and doctors wondered if he would survive. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and needed crutches or a wheelchair to be mobile. His mother and father took great care of him over the years.
In Billy's younger years he was very independent. Graduating from Mohawk local schools in 1972 and working on bicycles with his father at a shop setup for him in their basement. In later years he worked as a Sam's Club greeter which fit him very well with his outgoing personality. He made it a point to know most people in the area. Billy attended numerous churches over the years-not concerned with any denominational differences. Perhaps now he is running aisles in Heaven since he never could here on earth.
Billy is survived by his sister Leona Russell of Salem, four nieces, Darylynne (Todd) Drake, Doreen (David) Close, Wendy Russell, and Tina (Keb) Snyder, four nephews, Todd (Raeann) Sanor, Dwayne Huston, Jason Russell, Steven (Tracy) Russell and several great nieces and nephews. To Billy, his nieces and nephews were like his own children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Donald Huston and Carolyn Sanor, brother in -law Gary Russell, nephews Gary Sanor and Darrin Huston as well as infant niece Lora Sanor. Thank you to the Salem North Staff for their exceptional care over the past 11 years.
