Stephen F. Tucker, age 86, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on August 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Stephen was born February 17, 1935 in Sebring, Ohio to the late Stephen and Mary (McQuaid) Tucker. He was employed by West Branch School District for 31 years. He taught Physical Education, Science, and was later the Athletic Director for 18 years. He was an avid sports enthusiast of football, basketball, baseball, and track. He was also a coach during his career. He is a member of the Sebring and West Branch Sports Hall of Fame. His senior year of high school he was selected first team all county for both football and basketball. He continued to be a proud West Branch Supporter for his entire life. He was a dedicated family man. He was a former alter boy and was very spiritual. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Sebring.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by a son Stephen, sisters; Mary, Deloris, Rita, Betty, and a brother; Joe. Stephen is survived by his loving wife; Phyllis. They were married November 19, 1966. Two sons; Joe Tucker and Chris (Carrie) Tucker, grandchildren; Aaron, Ellie Tucker, brother-In-law; Joseph Nocera, sister-in-law; Lucille Karnofel, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to The Visiting Angels of Salem and the Hospice of the Valley from Youngstown, especially Rachel for the loving care provided to both Stephen and his family. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Stephen's honor to The West Branch Athletic Association in care of West Branch Schools 14277 S. Main Street Beloit, Ohio 44609. Go Warriors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11am at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Sebring with Fr. Thomas Dyer as celebrant. Friends and family may pay their respects at the church from 9am till 11am. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Friends and family may send their condolences online at www.deansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
