Shane Johnson

BYESVILLE -- Shane Richard Johnson, 44, of Byesville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (July 31, 2016) in Cambridge.

He was born Feb. 15, 1972, in Cambridge, son of Sherry Johnson and the late Gary Johnson.

Shane was a former employee of Pomegrante and LDM. He was a 1990 graduate of Cambridge High School, and was a well known athlete growing up. He was an avid Browns fan, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved to have a cold one and talk about old times with his many friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Trent R. Johnson, Cleveland, and Tristen Johnson Hopkins, Cambridge; a daughter, Chelsea Johnson, Cleveland; a granddaughter, Kali Johnson, Cleveland; grandmother, Grace Stevens, Cambridge; three sisters, Gina (Rob) Pennell, New Concord, Tammy Johnson, Byesville, and Kristi (Charlie) Johnson, Byesville. Also, a very special cousin, Roddy Stevens, Pleasant City; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and close friends.

Per his request, no calling hours will be observed. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at First Church of Nazarene, 530 Madison Ave., Cambridge, with Pastor Greg Kafler officiating.
