Scott W. Eaton, beloved husband, son, brother and friend, 49 of Alliance, Ohio passed away on November 17,2023 at a Cleveland, OH hospital.  He was born and resided in Massachusetts until moving to Ohio in 2021. His faith in God was a very important part of who he was as a person.  He was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church in Sebring, OH. He was also a supporter of Clothed in Righteousness, a homeless ministry in Alliance, OH.

Scott’s favorite hobby was woodworking. It was his lifelong dream to have his own workshop. It allowed him to use his creativity. He would take something old and refurbish it or create something new from his own plans.

Scott also spent endless hours gaming with friends with whom he formed meaningful relationships over the years. In addition to gaming with local family and friends he was also a part of a group from South Carolina.  These friendships lasted over 10 years. He and his wife traveled to visit these friends a couple of times in recent years.

Scott enjoyed music, movies, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed the annual Men’s weekend trips with his close friends and family. He attended many music concerts of his favorite bands. One of his very best qualities was his sense of humor.

Scott and his wife, Amy, were together for 21 years, 17 of which they were married. They were not only husband and wife, but also best friends, companions, soulmates and so much more. They shared a very special love.

Scott is survived by his wife Amy Eaton, his father, John Eaton and step mother, Sue Eaton, his mother, Carol Eaton,  his sister, Kerrie Young, his brother in law,  Mike Demers, his uncle and life long friend, Paul Flavell, his mother in law, Yvonne Baumgartner, and long time friend, Bryan Wolfe. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Eaton, his grandparents, and his father in law, Michael Baumgartner.

Scripture:  Revelation 21:4 (NIV)

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

There will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain,

For the old order of things has passed away.

Scripture:  2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

The Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

Who comforts us in all our troubles,so that we can comfort

those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Poem: Afterglow  by Helen Lowrie Marshall

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun:

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
