Rosa L DeLeon-Henson

Rosa DeLeon-Henson, of Alliance, Ohio passed away on the morning of January 21st, 2025. Originally from Lubbock, Texas and born July 5th, 1963, she moved with her family to Ohio in 1969, soon after settled in Alliance, and graduated from AHS in 1981. 

She is preceded by her father, Francisco DeLeon, while survived by her mother Sofia DeLeon, her siblings Janie, Franky, Eva, Dorothy, Joseph, and Ramón, her children Rosa (Maria), Sara, and Daniel, her grandchildren Cipriana, Lena, Jacob, Lucas, Alexandria, and Annalise, and her great grandchild Calum. She also had an abundance of loving nieces and nephews, and lastly, her “Sweetheart”, Ray Carli, who stood by her side. 

Rosie, as many know her, lived a life of service and touched the hearts of so many throughout the Alliance area. Many know her for her bubbly personality, her passion for cooking, and her servitude to others. This included everything from bringing meals to families in need, to playing an irreplaceable role in raising her grandchildren. 

In her child years, you could find her defending her little brother from bullies on the bus. In her teen to young adult years, she may have been seen at a Billy Joel or Pink Floyd concert. In her motherly years, her children’s teammates and coaches would swarm to get their hands on whatever she whipped up to feed them before the given sporting event. In her older years, she was deeply bonded with her beloved grandson, Lucas - her “Amor de Mi Vida”. Upon becoming ill, Rosie was cared for until her passing by her daughter Rosa, known to many as Maria.

Rosie was cherished amongst the Alliance community andwill be greatly missed. Please join us to celebrate her memory on Monday, January 27th at the Almost Home Event Center in Sebring. The service will begin at 3pm, followed by prayer at 5pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean’s Funeral Home Sebring.
