Ronald Lee McGarr, a cherished family man and beloved friend, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on December 14, 1945, Ronald dedicated his life to his career as a truck driver for TNT Holland Motor Freight, where he became known for his dependability and commitment to excellence.
Ronald’s true joy came from his family, who were always at the forefront of his heart. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandy O'Leary McGarr, he is also survived by his devoted daughter Deborah (David) Revello and his three sons, Rick (Kimberly) McGarr, Ronnie (Ruth) McGarr, and Andy McGarr. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Christopher, Adam, Aaron, Sebastian, Trent, Michael, Jacob, Adam, Robert, Andy, Victoria, Alex, and Dominic (Hannah), as well as his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lily, Cayden, Willow, and Annalee. Each of them will carry fond memories of their time with Ronald, who took every opportunity to share in their lives.
Beyond the joy of his family, Ronald had many interests that brought him great happiness. He loved spending time on his boat, where the gentle lapping of the water and the call of the breeze offered him comfort and peace. Riding his golf cart was another delight, a daily reminder of simple pleasures. He also took great pride in building items and remodeling, skills that allowed him to create and contribute to the spaces that his family enjoyed.
Ronald enjoyed the companionship of lifelong friends Gary Nahas, Sue Carver, and Debbie Brown, who cherished him deeply. His beloved grand fur baby, Charlie, also filled his home with love and laughter, reminding him of the loyalty and warmth that pets bring into our lives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert McGarr, his mother, Onnie Kiziah McGarr, and his sister, Jean Cross. They will be waiting to greet him with open arms, united once more in a peaceful reunion.
