Ronald Brent Codner age 57, was reunited with his daughter Jenna in heaven on Monday, March 15, 2021 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. He was born September 27, 1963 to the late Lissie (Moore) Codner and Delano Codner. He is survived by his heartbroken family including his spouse of 24 years; Kim Gleason- Codner, daughter; Kaylene (Leon) Hedgepeth, sons; Ron E. Codner, Darren Way, and Derrek (Lauryn) Way, grandchildren; Lainey Jane Way, Rhye Leon Hedgepeth, and brothers; Tony (Sue) Codner and Randy Codner.
Ron was a generous, larger than life husband, father, friend, brother and Poppy. Ron truly never met a stranger. He was always ready to laugh and will be remembered by many for his on-time humor and relentless charisma.
He was a flavor-master on the grill and his weekends were often spent grilling, on a golf course, or riding around on his tractor with his granddaughter Lainey.
To honor Ron’s wishes the family will not be holding any formal ceremony.
On June 20, 2021 the family will celebrate his life at their house in Twinsburg, backyard barbecue style. All are welcome. If you wish to honor Ron’s life in your own way, we encourage you to fire up your grill one sunny weekend and enjoy a nice backyard barbecue. You may also honor him by exhibiting generosity as he did. Ron always made sure to tip his servers well. So have a nice meal out and leave a hefty Ron sized tip in his honor.
The family would like to thank you for your love and support. Friends and family may share their online condolences at www.deansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
