Paula Matthews

March 1, 1947 — July 28, 2016

Paula Miller Matthews, age 69 passed away peacefully Thursday, July 28th, 2016 at her home. She was born March 1, 1947 in Pennsylvania to parents Paul and Nelle Miller. Paula was married to her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Don Matthews on November 18, 1965. Paula was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to so many. Paula enjoyed listening to classic rock music, crocheting, making crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. Paula was a kindhearted woman who touched the lives of everyone she met, blessing all of those who met her with her many stories and jokes. She was known as "Nanaw" to most of those who knew her and was dedicated to making all of those around her happy. In constant support of her grandchildren, she grew to be a huge Alliance Aviators fan. She found the most happiness in seeing her daughter and grandchildren happy. Paula is survived by her daughter, Wendy Davis, son in law Charlie Davis; granddaughter Breanne Davis and grandson Adam Davis; sisters Pat Cenis, Kathy Maffia and brother Jimmy Miller; nieces and nephews Bobby, Tommy, Lisa, Heather, Lori, Scott, Sharon and Gayle as well as by many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her loving husband and her younger brother David Miller, all of which have been anxiously awaiting her arrival in heaven. Paula's last wish was for everyone to know that she loves us all, to celebrate her life, and to play her favorite song, "Old Time Rock and Roll". There will be a private memorial service for her family and close friends.
