Orville "Earl" Blevins was born October 24, 1946 in Morehead, Ky to Orville and Elsie (Stevens) Blevins. He passed on to his eternal reward on February 13, 2024 at 1:08 a.m., at Woodlawn Compassionate Care in Canton, Ohio.
Earl married his best friend, Betty Jo (Huffman) while working at Genco in Alliance, on July 19,1969. He attended Marlington High School.
Blevins was employed for 22 years at Sancap Abrasives in Alliance, until they closed. He then went to Hendricks Trailer in Canton, where he worked for 15 years, until he retired. He loved following the New York Yankees (since 1962) and the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball. He loved Country and Blue Grass Music. While his health allowed, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, where he had two 299 games. He loved deer hunting with his son and brothers.
He was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church, until they closed.
surviving Earl is his beloved wife, Betty Jo; a son, Glenn (Martha) Blevins of Evansville, WI; a daughter, Melissa Burton of Alliance, Alliance, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and another due in July; sisters Ellen Blevins of Sebring, Bertilla "Teddy" of New Castle, Indiana and Jewll (Ervin) Oney of New Bern, North Carolina; a brother, Ron (Kathee) Blevins; an aunt, Betty Stevens of Alliance, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Proceeding him in death were his parents, brothers, William Belvins Sr; David Blevins, John Blevins, Philip Blevins, and infant, Orville Blevins Jr, his in laws Robert and Dorothy (Green) Huffman; sister-in-law, Rachel Huffman LaNave; and a nephew, Robert Randles.
Services will be at Dean's Funeral Home in Sebring on Friday February 16,2024. Visitation will be from 10 am till 11 am prior to the services. Funeral will be at 11 am. Shannon Sampson will be officiating at the service. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
