Norma L Petty
July 6, 1931 — April 15, 2024
North Benton
Norma Petty of North Benton Ohio passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2024, at the age of 92.
She was in hospice at Bel Air Care Center in Alliance where she had been staying for the past couple of months.
Norma was the daughter of Gladys and Almond Drayer.
Norma had a love for animals that started when she grew up on a farm East of Alliance.
While still in her 20s Normas parents sold their farm to move to Berlin Lake, Norma soon followed and built a house and barn across the street where she lived for 70 years. Norma liked to say she was tough old farm girl. This may have come losing one of her toes when she was bringing in a milking cow at the age of 8 . In the early years she loved to ride horses and showed them regularly winning all types of trophies. Her next love was for classic cars. She always had a classic to take to shows and belonged to car clubs for years. She was most known for a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang as well as a 1938 Packard. She again won dozens of Trophies showing these cars that she proudly displayed in her house.
