Maxie “Dusty” Stafford, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital.
Dusty is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth “Grandma Funny Bunny” Koons. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 34 years, Angie (Citino) Stafford; his children, Dusty “DJ” (Michelle) Stafford, Jimmy (Erin) Stafford, and Stormie (Gregory) Stafford; his grandchildren (Eli, Waylon, Gage, Elsie, Khloe, Scarlett, Emma, Ethan, and Adrian); his mother, Susan Koons; his siblings Tammi (Hank) Ingledue and Jay (Amy) Blake; his mother-in-law Janie (Williams) Martell, his father-in-law Louie (Kathi) Citino, sisters-in-law Tina (Citino) Brush and Hope Rummel (Mike); also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Dusty was born November 19, 1970, in Ravenna, Ohio. He grew up in Alliance and attended Alliance High School where he met the love of his life Angie. He was a welder by trade and over the years he and Angie had three children and built a beautiful life and family together. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife and loved ones, especially his grandchildren who all loved and knew him as “Poppy”. In his free time, you could find him golfing with his buddies, riding his Harley, or relaxing at home watching a movie. Dusty’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed, and his legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place at Dean’s Funeral Home in Sebring on Monday, June 17th. We invite friends and family to join us for a viewing from 4:00pm-6:00pm to pay their last respect to our beloved Dusty.
