Mary E. Turjanica

(1943-2023)

Mary Elizabeth (Stevens) Turjanica passed away March 31, 2023, after a short illness at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold R. Stevens and her husband Michael Turjanica.

Mary was born on February 23, 1943, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She was a graduate of Madison Memorial High School and Willoughby-Eastlake School of Practical Nursing. She was an Ohio Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a Registered Nurse. She married Michael Turjanica in 1986. She is survived by her son, Michael (Terry) Riedel, a brother Jim Stevens, a significant partner, James Klayder, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary loved caring for others as a nurse, nursing home administrator, and after retiring in 2016 being a hospice volunteer. She enjoyed planning and organizing activities for family and friends-reunions, celebrations, and vacations throughout the U.S. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, magic shows, and reading.

A remembrance service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Mary’s honor to Life Care Fund c/o Copeland oaks 800 S 15th Street Sebring, Ohio 44672. Arrangements were entrusted to Dean’s Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio.
