Marietta Arnett, age 85, of Sebring, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at Canterbury Villa. Born on June 17, 1939, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she lived a life filled with love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Marietta was a talented beautician and the proud owner and operator of Dairy and Poultry Farm and The Corner Garden. Throughout her career, she touched many lives, always embracing her work with a warm smile and a kind heart. An alumna of Olive Hill High School and a member of the Trevecca Nazarene College class of 1957, Marietta formed enduring friendships that lasted a lifetime, including meeting her true love, Hal Arnett, during her time there. Their love story began in college, leading to their marriage on September 12, 1957, in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter and joy.

Marietta's personality shone brightly in every aspect of her life. She was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife. Her nurturing spirit enabled her to foster deep connections with those around her. Marietta was also an individual of many talents; she played bass drum in the marching band, was a cheerleader, a participant in drama club, and a skilled pianist. As a proud Ohio State Buckeye fan, she enjoyed cheering for her team and reveling in the camaraderie of fellow supporters.

Marietta is survived by her beloved husband, Hal Arnett; her dear sister, Rosalie (Jim) McKenzie of Danville, KY; her sister-in-law, Marie Wilburn (Craft) of Olive Hill, KY; her uncle, Tom (Joan) McGlone of Frankfort, IN; her devoted son, Daniel Arnett of Bowling Green, OH; and her loving sons, Matthew (Tiffany) Arnett of Galloway, OH, and Thomas (Stephanie) Arnett of Alliance, OH. She treasured her grandchildren: Kaley, Aaron, Wyatt, Aiden, Trevor (Taylor), Ava, Matthew, Emily, Annaka, Aliyah, and her great-grandchild, Myla. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will remember her fondly.

Marietta's journey on this earth came to a close as she faced the challenges of Alzheimer's disease with remarkable grace. Though her absence will be felt deeply, her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
