Marian "Retha" Doyle, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 28, 2023, following a brief illness, at Mercy Cleveland Clinic Medical Center, Canton, Ohio; She was surrounded by loved ones. She was born on August 25, 1945, in Moundsville, West Virginia, the daughter of David Samuel and Marian "Molly" Retha (Sole) Woods.
Marian graduated from Moundsville High School, Class of 1963. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Ronald E Doyle. They celebrated 59 years of marriage in June. She was a member of the Salvation Army when she was a teenager where she found her faith in Jesus. She later became a member of the Union Ave Church of Christ in Alliance. Marian worked for the Alliance Community Hospital for 30 years and was currently employed at Marlington Local School System.
Marian spent most of her summers with her beloved husband vacationing in their favorite spot, Britt, Ontario. However, there was a special place in her heart and desire to return to her hometown along the Ohio River. She loved The Cleveland Cavaliers, The Pittsburgh Steelers and the outdoors. Yet, the thing she loved the most was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Immogene Goodnight, Bill Woods, David Woods, Dick Woods, Emma Dove, Deloris Burge, infants Dale Woods, Dora Woods, and Bessie Woods.
She is survived by her loving husband "Ronnie" and daughters Rhonda (Bernie) Glenn, Wheeling, WVA; Robin (Ricky) Blake, Alliance, OH and Rose (David) Mason; Shippensburg, PA and siblings James (Elsie) Woods, Moundsville, WVA; Freda (Dan) Rine, Glendale, WVA, Darlene (Donald) Kosloff, Lakewood, OH, Joan Story, Akron, OH and Janet Lloyd, Durham, NC.
Marian was blessed with 13 Grandchildren, and she was the "Best MeMe" ever.
Steven Michael (Bonnie) Conaway, Erin Paige (James Jr.) West, Kaitlyn Renee (John) Beckett, Jaclyn Marie Adams, Lauren Nicole (Derek) Bradley, Tyler Paul-Ronald (Clarissa) Thompson, Craig (Jessica) Glenn, Natalie Walsh, Kyle (Brittany) Blake, Kody Blake, Justin Mason, Zachary Mason and Jesse Mason.
Because she was the "Best MeMe", they blessed her with 30 Great Grandchildren. James III, Elaina, Witten, Kiya, Juliana, Remington, Roman, Carter, Emmett, Jaxson, Hunter, Aubrey Rose, Zade, Lucas, Layla, Tommy, Elsa, Grayson, Lucy, Odin, Liam, Aiden, Nigel, Cody, Natasha, Carli, MaKayla, Connor, Jozlynn, and Jaxsen Allen.
A service of remembrance will be held 11: 00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023; with an hour of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at The Alliance Church of Christ, 9371 McCallum Ave NE Alliance, OH 44601. Pastor David Ray will officiate. A lunch reception will immediately follow in the fellowship hall.
Interment will take place at the Riverview Cemetary, Moundsville, WVA. Services will be announced at a later time.
