Sebring: Louise Coldwell, formerly of Marion, Ohio, and now of Copeland Oaks, Sebring, Ohio, died at Crandall Medical Center on June 5, 2017. She was born in Marion, Ohio, on May 28, 1923, to Franklin B. and Emma (Croft) Hinaman, both deceased, and was preceded in death by her five brothers, Samuel (Catherine) Hinaman, Raymond (Mildred) Hinaman, Robert (Esther) Hinaman, Leroy (Clarabelle) Hinaman, and Paul (Beatrice) Hinaman, and her sister Ruth (Warren) Gruber. On Feb. 7, 1946, she married Everette E. Coldwell in Marion. Everette passed away July 13, 2012. Everette's brother, Donald (Patricia) Coldwell recently passed away. Louise and Everette had four children: a daughter, Carol (Michael) Reck of Westerville, Ohio, and three sons, Richard (Terri) Coldwell of Hartsville, South Carolina, Donald (Ruth) Coldwell of Marion, Ohio, and Michael (LuAnn) Coldwell of Twin Lakes, Ohio. All graduated from Otterbein College. They had eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Louise graduated from Harding High School in 1941 and then worked as a secretary for the Agricultural Extension Service during World War II. She and Everette, corresponded frequently during the war where he served with the Army in Europe. Upon his return from the war they were married, he went into banking, and they began to raise a family. Louise focused on raising the four children which included each year planting, tending and harvesting a large one acre garden. This led to canning, pickling and freezing much of the food the family enjoyed throughout the year. She was also a great seamstress spending lots of time sewing clothes and she created needle point pictures that from a distance looked like paintings. Louise and Everette were actively involved in Calvary United Methodist Church while in Marion, serving as Youth Fellowship directors, teaching Sunday School and participating on many church committees including the Pastor Parish Committee. Louise took on several volunteer roles after the kids were grown which included working at the gift shop and guest reception desks at the Marion General Hospital. She was also a member of Twig III and served as secretary and president. Upon Everette's retirement from banking, they moved to Lakeside, where they were active at Lakeside United Methodist Church and served on various Lakeside groups. Louise served as a member of the Lakeside Association Trustees for a number of years. For the past 21 years, Louise has lived at Copeland Oaks and been a member of Christ U.M. Church in Alliance. Memorial Service will be held at Dean's Funeral Home on June 10,2017 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held at the funeral home at 10:00am.
