Loren Coler, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born on April 18, 1938, in Woodstock, Ohio, to Albert Coler and Helen Mansfield.
Loren was a high school graduate. Loren dedicated his career to pipe insulation with National Asbestos Workers and Micon Insulation. Beyond his professional life, he cherished simple pleasures like having daily breakfast at McDonald's with friends, singing karaoke in his free time at many area nursing homes. He found joy in the company of friends and his loved ones.
One of Loren's proudest accomplishments was serving as the best man at his son's wedding. He was known for his loving and caring nature, prioritizing his family above all else. His kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Loren was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Ann Myers of 56 years, his son L. Robert Jr. (Lori).
Survived by his son William R. Coler (Meri) of North Lima, 4 grandchildren; J.W. Coler of Arlington, VA, Rachel (Joshua) Garcia of Leetonia, 1st Lt. Morgan Coler of Mary Esther, FL, Christina Coler of Canfield and 2 great-grandchildren; Riley Garcia and Olivia Garcia. He is also survived by his long-time companion, Ellen Mills of Salem.
