Lily M (George) McDonough, age 95 went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2020 at Altercare of Alliance. She was born on July 11, 1924 in Clinton, PA to Lydia and Charles George. She was a devoted Christian lady and was a member of the Home Mission Church for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher for the "Tiny Tot's". She also played her Hawaiian Lap Steel Guitar in church. She was an amazing woman, on her 94th birthday she entertained us with her musical talents. She loved spending time with her only Daughter Karen, her Grandchildren, and Great Grandson. She worked at Alliance Manufacturing for many years and retired from Ferro Corporation in Sebring, Ohio. She will be greatly missed her surviving family. Daughter; Karen Forst of Beloit, Ohio. Grandsons; Edward and George Principe of Beloit, Ohio, Granddaughter; Heather Principe and Great- Grandson; Nicholas of Canton. Her Siblings; Brother: James (Sonny) George and wife Lois of Alliance. Sisters; Alice Lenigar of Alliance, Mille Thomas of alliance, Pat Winters of Labelle Florida. Many Nieces, Nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Also her Husband Chester McDonough, whom passed in 1974. Brothers; Charles and Donald George. Sisters; Pearl Percy and Rose Robinson. We will be following strict guidelines established because of the Covid 19 Pandemic. Per request, masks should be worn by all attendees. Calling Hours will take place Friday April 24, 2020 from 10-11am with the Funeral to follow at 11am at Oak Street Mission Church Alliance, Ohio with Rev Herb Smith officiating. A graveside service and Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park at 1230pm. A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date to celebrate Lily's Life because of the current restrictions in place.Friends and family may send their condolences online at www.dean'sfuneralhome.com .
