Lester Hurford

Lester William Hurford, age 47, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 2, 1968, in Alliance to Eldon and Barbara Hurford.

Lester was a hard-working person who loved his family, sports, being outdoors, fishing, camping and sitting by the fire. He enjoyed family time and playing with his grandsons.

He graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in 1987. He worked in area shops and was employed by Stark Metal Sales in Alliance.

Lester is survived by his fiancAC.e, Tiffany Hughes; daughters, Lindsey Hurford (fiancAC.e Kodie Ball), Mindy Hanes, Faith Hall and son, Ashton; his father, Eldon Hurford Sr.; and brother, Eldon Hurford Jr., all of Alliance. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Trenton and Hunter Ball.

Lester is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Hurford.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Dean's Funeral Home in Sebring, with the Rev. Herb Goetz, officiating. The family will be present for calling hours from 5 to 6 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 6 p.m.
