Leroy Sloan Johns, a beloved resident of Lake Milton, passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 71. Born on May 6, 1952, to the late Leroy F and Dorothy L (Gamble) Johns.

Leroy's legacy includes being a proud inductee of the Jackson Milton High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Following his graduation, he served in the U.S. Army before embarking on a fulfilling career in carpentry and construction.

Not only was Leroy dedicated to his work, but he also found joy in coaching his children and their friends during countless baseball and softball seasons. He was truly passionate about sports and found himself to be an avid fan of both the Indians and the Browns. In addition to his love for athletics, Leroy had a profound love for music and was always the life of any gathering.

Leroy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warm presence, infectious laughter, and ability to light up any room will forever be cherished.

He is survived by his loving wife Joanne Johns, as well as his children: Kelly (Ed) Staton, Michael (Tabitha) Johns, and Lindsey (Justin) Hugli. He also leaves behind treasured grandchildren: Ashley (Adam) Jeffries, Tyler & Ryan Staton, Grace & Emma Johns; as well as Harper, Quinn & Camryn Hugli. Leroy's legacy continues with great-grandchildren; Griffin Silas and Violet. He is also survived by his siblings: Mary Vandenberg of Florida, Robert (John) Chufar of California, and Marti (Peter) Oakes of Florida.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Leroy for the remarkable individual that he was - a devoted family man who deeply cared for others. May his soul find eternal peace and may we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with him.
