Her vibrant personality shone through her many hobbies, including crocheting and sewing, where she found joy in creating hats and gloves for those in need. The warmth of her creations extended beyond physical items; they were embodiments of her kindness and compassion.

Katheryne was the heart of her family, leaving behind two loving sons, Stephen Shank and Thomas Douglas, and a treasured daughter, Teri (Daniel) Burk. She reveled in the roles of mother and grandmother, and her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Jennifer, Nicholas, Jacob, Danielle, Matthew, Brandan, Zaine, Gabriel, Lucian, and Kassie—as well as her five great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her vibrant spirit.

Katheryne was also surrounded by the love of her siblings, Sarah, Patricia, Denise, Valarie, and Vicky, alongside her brothers, Walter and Mike, who formed an unbreakable bond filled with laughter and memories. Together, they shared stories and traditions that will forever be cherished.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Henry Shank and Dorothy Laurer, and a brother, George Howard whose absence was felt deeply within her heart. The passing of her grandchild Michael brought an additional veil of sorrow, yet Katheryne carried these experiences with grace, teaching her family the importance of love and resilience.

Katheryne was also adored by her fur baby, Cali, who provided companionship and joy throughout her life. Together, they shared countless moments of tranquility and devotion, a testament to the love she offered to all living beings.
