Juliann (Cotters) Davis

Juliann "Julie" Davis, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, quietly left this world on April 16, 2025, at a personal care home in Alliance, Ohio. Born on June 2, 1946, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, Julie was a beacon of kindness and love, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her gentle spirit and caring nature defined her, earning her a place in the hearts of many.

Julie graduated high school in 1964 from Freedom High school before pursuing her passion for caring for others at the Butler School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. In 1977, she moved to Salem and devoted many years to serving at Salem Hospital, where her compassion and dedication shone through in every interaction with her patients and colleagues.

On July 21, 1967, she married the love of her life, Howard B. Davis Jr., in a ceremony at Freedom First Presbyterian Church. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, nurturing a family that continued to grow and thrive.

She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Doug) Weingart, and her son, Bryan Davis. Julie was a proud grandmother to Nathan and Justin (Antoinette) Weingart and Melanie (Derek) Tenney, and she cherished her great-grandchildren, Colton, Ashton, and Hadley Tenney, along with Easton Weingart. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Jeanne Cotters (Ron) Joan, and many loving nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the memories they created together.

Julie had a talent for crafting, transforming paint, fabric, florals, jewelry, stained glass, and ceramics into beautiful creations. Many friends and family were blessed with her unique handmade pieces, each carrying a touch of her loving spirit.

Though her parents, Maylon and Frances Cotters, and her husband Howard B. Davis Jr., have passed on, their love and guidance continue to resonate in the lives of those she leaves behind. Also remembered are her in-laws, Howard B. Davis Sr. and Emma Jean (Dougan) Davis, who welcomed her into their family.

As we celebrate Julie's life, we remember a woman of extraordinary grace, passion, and devotion to her family. Her legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will forever be treasured by all who knew her. Julie, your spirit will live on in the hearts of many—a shining light that will never dim. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Special Olympics of Ohio. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
