Josefa Gandee

Alliance: Josefa Maria Gandee, age 64, passed into the arms of the Lord on February 23, 2022. She was born March 19, 1957 in Colon, Panama to Leonardo Tunon and Malva Webster. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel W. Gandee. They were united in marriage on July 2, 1975 in Colon, Panama. Other survivors include her children; Samuel (Danielle) Gandee Jr. of Temperance, MI, Christopher (Robin) Gandee of Spartanburg, SC, Christine (Kendall) Richardson of Alliance, Ohio, Elisa (Barrett) Byers of Valdosta, Ga. Grandchildren; Hunter, Kerragan, Braden and Kellen Gandee of Temperance, MI, Gabriel Gandee of Adrian, MI, Natalia and Tyrell Gandee of Spartanburg, SC, Cheyenne, Caleb, and Corryne Phillips of Alliance, Oh, and Gibson and Jack Byers of Valdosta, Georgia. Siblings; Amalia Tunon, Nisa Tesis, Javier Tesis, and Tanya Tesis of Panama, Ellsa Tesis Reed of Boston, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by a brother; Eric Tesis of Panama and a grandson; Christopher Phillips of Michigan. Josefa had a love for birds. She enjoyed feeding them and identifying them. She also loved planting and caring for her flowers and houseplants. She was an amazing cook and the best baker ever. She loved her church, church family and had a passion for serving others. She served as a missionary for 9 years in Mexico and had an indescribable love in her heart for the Mexican people that she carried unto death. She adored her family and especially adored each and every grandchild. A time of Visitation will be held Tuesday March 1, 2022 at 10 am at Highland Park Wesleyan Methodist Church in North Canton. A funeral service will follow at 11am with Rev. Gary Gray officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
