John Stanley

John E. Stanley, age 73 entered into the gates of Heaven on September 24, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital after a period of declining health. He was born September 3, 1948 to the late Virginia (Goff) Stanley and Paul Stanley. He is survived by his loving wife; Susan Stanley of 13 years.They were married Feb 13, 2008. Sister; Judi (Lee) Bender, step-children; Adam (Stacey) Bell, Matt (Lyndsy) Bell, step-grandchildren; Peyton, Gavin, and Sawyer Bell. Niece; Sarah Bendersmith, a great niece, and  a great nephew. John was a 1966 graduate of West Branch High School. He enjoyed all types of racing with Indy car  and automobile racing being his favorite. He also enjoyed attending car shows in North Georgetown.  He was an avid reader of Christian books. He attended First Brethren Church in North Georgetown. He attended the Connect group with Pastor Joel Soza as well as outdoor fires and dinners with the congregation and men's groups. He also frequented the men's prayer breakfast. Jesus was a huge part of John's life here on Earth. Per his request no public services will be held. The family would like to extend a special thank you to members of The Winona ambulance squad and first responders. Also a heartfelt thank you to the physicians, nurses, and caregivers at Mercy hospital. They provided wonderful care for John and were very caring. The family appreciated all the prayers that were extended from our North Georgetown Church family. Also, Thank you to Dean's Funeral Home for handling all of John's final arrangements and care. John is at peace without anymore pain and is in his glory with Jesus. Through it all his faith remained strong and unwavering.
