John Mayer

Alliance;

John E. Mayer, age 90 passed away April 22, 2019 at Mc Crea Manor Care Center.

He was born June 2, 1928 in Alliance, Ohio to John and Ethel (Jones) Mayer, and  was a veteran of the US Army in Korea.

John  had been a tool and die maker. He loved calling bingo, traveling, square dancing, and was a boy scout master, and co- owner of Mayer nursery.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathi  Kibler of Alliance, and Patricia (Gary ) Culler of Alliance.

Eight grandchildren; Eric (Diana) Kibler, Benjamin (Maria) Culler, Adam (Kristy ) Culler, Brenda Culler, Joseph (Jackie) Culler, Mark Mayer, Angela (Scott) Osterfield, and Cassie Mayer.

Thirteen great- grandchildren; Emily Kibler, Kyle Kibler, Rachael Culler, Katie Culler, Raymond Culler, Breanna Culler, Kendra Culler, Allison Culler ,Hannah Culler, Matthew Culler, , David Culler, Ryan Culler, and Luke Culler.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death  on December 6, 2018 by his wife Mary L. Mayer whom he married  June 25, 1949, and son  William John Mayer.

There will be a memorial service held at The Chapel at Alliance City Cemetery, Tuesday May 7, 2019 at 11:00 am.
