Joseph "Joey" Frederick Schwartzhoff died peacefully in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 7, 2016. He was 73. Joey was born to Joseph and Louise Schwartzhoff on August 5, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio. He was raised in Sebring where he attended Sebring McKinley High School excelling in football, baseball and basketball. In 1960, Joey joined the United States Marine Corps completing tours in Cuba and Vietnam. After returning from the service he attended Kent State University and later moved to Los Angeles, California. In 1986 he moved to Las Vegas, which is where he met his wife Lillian whom he married in 1992. Joseph enjoyed watching all sports, and when able to ride loved taking out his Harley Davidson. He was a charismatic, kind and giving man who made a friend wherever he went. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Joey is survived by his wife Lillian, his daughters Alesia Davis and Rachel Simpson; his grandchildren David Delity, Danyelle and Kieran Ueberfluss; Delaney and Matthew Simpson; as well as his siblings Kathryn Miller, Dorothy Senior, James Schwartzhoff, John Schwartzhoff, Theresa Campbell and Kevin Schwartzhoff. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Helen Mcachran and his brother Gregory Schwartzhoff. A memorial will be held for Joey at Dean's Funeral Home in Sebring on Sunday, July 31, 2017, at 10 am.
