Mr. James "Tip" Wilson Jr., 63, passed away suddenly but peacefully on May 17, 2017 at Aultman hospital. He was born on Nov. 5, 1953 in Belle Glade, Florida to James Wilson Sr. and late Tommie Fay Baptist.
He lived in Alliance, Ohio for over forty years. Mr. Wilson was employed at Sam's America for thirty years he retired in March, 2016 completing a very long history of strong work ethic. He enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, playing cards, spending quality time with his family and grandchildren, watching his favorite television show (Gun Smoke, fishing programs, The Big Valley) and oh how he loved eating his honey buns. Mr. Wilson was one who loved kids, sharing and always felt the need to help others. In his early years, he played on a basketball team named Ohio players and Five Specials. He was also a baseball coach. He loved football and his favorite NFL team Miami Dolphins.

James Wilson Jr. leaves to mourn but to cherish his lovely wife Thomasina Wilson "Toni," three children, Damita Mitchell; James Wilson III and Jarius Wilson; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 7 brothers, Anthony (Mae), Donald (Dawn), Kenneth (Loretta) Tommie Lee, Bernard (Jackie) Reynard (LaCricia) and Riley, one sister Shirley Wilson; great uncle Bud, two brother-laws, Richard and William; and four sister-in- laws, Patricia, Cassandra, Linda and Brenda. A host of special nieces, nephews and cousins; four special friends, Albert "Poochie," Robert "Pie," Eugene "Gino" and Vince; In addition to a host of friends that he would never call a stranger.
The viewing will be held at Second Baptist Church at 820 E. Patterson St., Alliance, Ohio from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 26, 2017 and the services will be held immediately following. Refreshments will be served in the dining hall.
