James Finnegin

Together Again Alliance; James A. Finnegin, age 70, passed away April 16, 2017 at Canterbury Villa following a long illness. He was born May 22, 1946 in West Sunbury, PA to Michael and Pauline (Rogers) Finnegin. James had been manager of Sohio Service Station and was president of the Garden Club. He enjoyed zinnias' and gladiolas. He was very fond of the Cleveland Indians. He was 2015, Prom King of Canterbury, enjoyed fishing, video fishing, bird watching, dogs, all sports, joking and especially his family. He was a 1964 graduate of Louisville High School. James is survived by his daughter: Deana (Ray) Lockner of Alliance. Sons: Jim (Missy) Finnegin of Cuyahoga Falls and Scott (Traci) Finnegin of Homeworth. Sister: Faye (John) Sterzbach of Brunswick. Brother: John (Mary Ellen) Finnegin of East Rochester Sister-N-Law: Rosemary Finnegin. Eight Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his High School Sweetheart and Wife, Sandra (Callen) Finnegin, and brother, Mike Finnegin. A Funeral Service will be held, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 4pm, at Dean's Funeral Home with Marty Cash-Burless officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 pm prior to the service. Burial will take place at Mount Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Angel for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd, Canfield, Ohio 44406 and Stark County Humane Society, P.O Box 7077, Louisville, Ohio 44641, or the family.
