Alliance:
Jack D. Specht, age 86 went home with the Lord on September 17, 2019 at Alliance Community Care Center.
Jack was born on October 13, 1932 in Lexington Township to the late Irvin and Jennie (McBride) Specht.
He was retired from Morgan's Engineering where he was a welder. He was a veteran of United States Air Force. He was a 1950 graduate of Alliance High School. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, collecting guns and clocks and playing cards and Bocce. He was a very active man that was dedicated to his family and attending their sports. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Brown's fan.
He is survived by his Daughter: Susan Warner of Alliance. Sons: Mike (Denise) Monea of Massillon, Jeff Monea of Texas, Ronald (Renee) Specht of Alliance. Step- Son :Gary (Geri) Fix of California. Grandchildren: Jessica Minich, Amanda Laughlin, Katrina Kolesar, Brandon Myers, Preston Myers, Miranda Rhodes, and Jen Snyder. Thirteen Great- Grandchildren. Honorary Grandchildren: Hector and Erica.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by Step-Son: Dan Fix. Sisters: Thelma Vernon, Clara Poorboys, Anna Mae Diehl, Virginia Zoss, Irene Doyle and Ruth Korleski. Brothers: William, Robert, Charles, Henry, and Louis Specht. Grandson: David Monea.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 12 Noon, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance, Ohio with Very Rev: Canon Matthew Mankowski as celebrant. Friends and family may pay their respect at the church from 10 am till Noon, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers his request was to make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
