Heinz J Offenbecher, peacefully passed away at his home on June 17, 2024. Born in Stuttgart, Germany on October 31, 1944, Heinz led a remarkable life that touched the hearts of all who knew him. He achieved his educational goals as a proud graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, He later enlisted and served in the United Staes Army. Heinz's commitment to service and learning was evident throughout his life. His career at General Motors Lordstown was not just a job but a passion, where he spent years honing his skills and contributing to the automotive industry.
Heinz had an array of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. From meticulously repairing cameras to capturing moments as an avid photographer, his creativity knew no bounds. Music resonated deep within his soul, and he found solace in its melodies. Traveling allowed him to explore new landscapes and cultures, creating cherished memories along the way.
In his journey through life, Heinz was blessed with a loving family and caring friends who meant the world to him. He is survived by his devoted spouse of 36 years, Angie (Favazzo) Offenbecher, and their children: Amy Miller, Angelica Offenbecher, Heinz (Christine) Offenbecher Jr., Steven Miller, Michelle Offenbecher. His grandson Ian (Sha) Offenbecher and great-grandson Quinntin Offenbecher held special places in his heart. Heinz also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Ben (Janet) Favazzo, who were more than relatives but true companions on life's journey. The presence of their fur babies - Bella, Stella, and Maggie May - brought warmth and comfort to Heinz's days.
Per his request Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life in honor of Heinz J Offenbecher will be held on June 24, 2024, at the Almost Home Event Center in Sebring, 230 S 12th Street Sebring. Military honors will begin at 1130 am. Followed by a Funeral service with hospice Chaplain, Pastor Freddie Rodriquez officiating. We have the honor of celebrating the life of a remarkable man, whose spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Heinz will be dearly missed but never forgotten for the love he shared and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind. May he rest in peace knowing that his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Aultman Alliance Hospice. The family would like to thank all of the Alliance Aultman Hospice staff for their loving care. Especially, Chris and Crystal who were his regular caregivers. Arrangements were entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
