Gregory Fitzpatrick

Gregory J. Fitzpatrick, 65, of Beloit passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 12, 2025. Greg was born on February 3, 1959, to Gilbert and Mary Catherine Fitzpatrick in Youngstown, Ohio. Greg graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1977. Greg married his beloved wife Lorraine on August 11, 1984. Greg worked as an Insurance Salesman for TransAct/TruBridge/WTW. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Mary Catherine (Lawrence) Fitzpatrick, and his mother and father-in-law, Louis and Carol (Luniewski) Menci. Greg leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Lori Fitzpatrick; son, Ben (Kate) Fitzpatrick; brother, Gary (Lisa) Fitzpatrick; sister, Missy Fitzpatrick; stepmother-in-law, aunt, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, many friends, and his dog, Avalanche. Greg was described as an avid outdoorsman. He particularly enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting, especially with his son. On cold, rainy days, he would substitute those activities with a great game of euchre (accompanied by some table talk) or gin rummy. Greg shared fond memories of his days at “Hunting Camp” with some of his lifelong friends. He always loved a great meal, whether prepared by his wife or served at a local bar where he could enjoy a draft beer. Greg, a simple and rather preoccupied man, always put others first and tried to spark laughter or conversation wherever he went. He loved his family and friends deeply and would do anything for them. He will be greatly missed by many. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Dean’s Funeral Home in Sebring, OH, from 10:30 to noon. Mass will follow at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring, OH. Following the conclusion of the mass, family and friends can join together at Almost Home Event Center. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean’s Funeral Home.
