George Randall Baker "Redd"

George Randall Baker, affectionately known as "Redd," passed away on January 24, 2025, at the Ohio State University Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and the cherished memories. Born on May 23, 1950, in Alliance, Ohio, to Lucius Baker Sr. and Mary Alice Baker, George embodied the spirit of living life to the fullest. He was a devoted family man who embraced every moment with energy and enthusiasm.

George's passions were as vibrant as his personality. He loved sports and took great joy in working out. He was also a black belt martial artist, always aiming to inspire those around him through his active lifestyle. 

He is survived by his children: Terris Baker, Travon (Jerrice) Baker, Tamara (Bryant) Shelton, Travis Baker, Terred (Tashauna)Tuck, and Tremayne Baker. George was also the proud grandfather of 32 grandchildren and the loving great-grandfather of 29 great-grandchildren. His siblings, Lucius (Ella) Baker, Patricia Baker, Candice (Victor) Seals, and Michael Baker, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, will miss him dearly.

George is reunited in rest with his beloved parents, Lucius Baker Sr. and Mary Alice Baker and his daughters, Tanisha Baker and Leah Minor. He is also welcomed by his beautiful sisters, Eva Edwards and Diana Sanders, who now watch over him.

A viewing will be held on February 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM to commemorate George's extraordinary life. In our hearts, he will always be remembered not just for his vibrant spirit but for the love he shared and the memories he created. George Randall Baker may have left this earth, but the warmth of his spirit and the love he spread will remain eternally etched in our lives.
