Gary Lee Stine, 72, of Abbottstown, PA formerly of Red Lion, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024, in Louisville, OH after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren and niece.
Gary was born on November 14, 1951, to late Evelyn (McClane) and Albert Stine.
Gary served in the Army Reserves for 6 years.
Gary owned and operated his own business S.&G. Services (Lawncare & Snowplowing) for over 30 years, until his retirement in 2015 and his first battle with cancer. He served many well-known businesses in York and Adams counties like Rutters Farm Stores, Apple Car Dealerships in York, The Hanover Borough, Tucker's in East Berlin and Martin's Potato Chips.
Gary was the most devoted man and loved his family and friends deeply, spending most of his free time with his grandchildren attending school functions and sporting events. Gary enjoyed traveling, cars, going to the races, and riding his motorcycle every chance, he could, Gary will be greatly missed by all who love him.
Gary is survived by his daughters Samantha Keth (Dave Cortina) of Gettysburg, PA and Amanda Riley (Andrew Riley) of Louisville, OH. His grandchildren Logan Riley, Caleb Riley, Reese Riley and Renn Riley. His siblings Terry Stine of The Villages, FL; Cindy Condit of Lake Placid, FL; Linda Montgomery of Windsor, PA and Patty Covington of Red Lion, PA. His sister-in-law and faithful friend Penny Teal, and many nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Larry Stine.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 6, 2024, from 11am-2pm at St. David's United Church, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, PA 17331. There will be light refreshments served.
