Doris Gabrielson

Doris Mae Gabrielson, 80, of Alliance passed peacefully at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday April 1st 2020 at Altercare of Alliance.

Doris was a fiercely strong and independent woman her entire life. Born October 13th 1939 in Alliance to Mabel and Clarence Johnson. She played the violin and graduated from Alliance High School in 1957. Worked for 20 years at Columbia Gas of Ohio and after retiring from there, worked for Wal*Mart in the fabric department.

Doris was a master at cooking and loved to bake for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her pets, collecting angels and knobbits, craft shows, and thrift shopping.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Kay Foster of Alliance; grandchildren, Nicole Starr Foster of Canton and Adam Richard Foster of Alliance; nieces, Lois Miller and Margie Chick both of Alliance.

Preceding her in death were her parents Clarence Johnson and Mabel (Baggley) Johnson; her sister Evelyn Campbell and her former husband Gary Gabrielson.

Per her request private cremation will take place.  Memorial Services will be held at Deans Funeral Home at a later date.

She will be greatly missed and always remembered by the ones who were so lucky to be blessed with her in their life.
