Debra Lee Philp, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 26, 2023, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. She was born on August 3, 1966, in Cuyahoga, Ohio. Debra brought light and joy to everyone she met throughout her life.
Debra was a creative soul who found fulfillment in various hobbies and interests. She had a talent for crafting and painting, creating beautiful pieces of art that captured her vibrant spirit. She also had a passion for poetry and could effortlessly express her emotions through heartfelt verses. Debra's love for genealogy inspired her to delve into the depths of family history by making intricate family trees.
Being close to nature was important to Debra, and she found solace in walking and exploring her surroundings. Her adventurous spirit extended further as she took to motorcycle riding, enjoying the sense of freedom and excitement it provided. However, above all else, Debra cherished the moments spent with her family. Whether it was engaging in activities together or simply sharing heartfelt conversations, being with her loved ones brought immense happiness to her life.
Tragically, Debra's vibrant life came to an end while she was doing what she loved most. Although her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, it is comforting to know that she lived every day with passion and pursued the things that brought her the most joy.
She is preceded in death by her loving father David Philp and adoring mother Betty Philp. Debra's memory will forever be treasured by her surviving family members and friends. Her brothers Shawn Philp and Steven Philp were not only siblings but also close companions who shared many unforgettable memories with Debra. Georgette Philp was not only a sister-in-law but also a dear friend who provided unwavering support during difficult times. Debra leaves behind Karen Jenkins, her sister, who shared a strong bond built on love and understanding. Debra's legacy will also be carried on by her children: Terrie (Todd) Willa, Kimberly (Joshua) Hall, and William (Chesley Gibson) Jarvis. Each one of them was a source of immense pride and joy to Debra. She took great pleasure in watching them grow and flourish into the amazing individuals they are today.
Debra's grandchildren, Joseph Thornton, Hannah Thornton, Americos (Jacbo) Knisley, and Caroline were the epitome of pure happiness in her life. Their laughter and playful presence filled her days with immense warmth and love. She also left behind nieces and nephews, Justin Philp, Phillip (Arianna Elkins) Philp, and Marissa (Tylor) Rhodes) as well as great niece Lydia Rhodes and great nephew Spencer Rhodes.
Debra Lee Philp was more than just a name; she was a beacon of light in the lives of so many. Her kind heart, creative spirit, and unwavering love for family and friends will forever be etched in our memories. As we come together to celebrate her life, let us remember the joy she brought to this world and honor her legacy by embracing the same passion for life that she possessed. Rest in peace, Debra Lee Philp - your spirit will live on within us all.
