David Conn

David Earl Russell Conn, 72, of Uniontown passed away on June 4, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, S. Dannelle Conn.  He is survived by a son, Damon Conn, two daughters,  Elizabeth Conn and Natalie Kendall, a foster son, Jeremiah Boseman and seven grandchildren.
Born September 7, 1945 in Akron, he was the son of Paul R. Conn and Lourene Fredenburg.  He attended Lake High School and graduated from Bowling Green State University.  He was a life member of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity.  He was a highly esteemed teacher of Biological Sciences for the Akron Public School system.
He was the former owner and president of Art-Lan Florist Inc.  He was the co-founder and first president of the Uniontown Business Association and a member of the Uniontown Lions Club.  Upon his retirement from teaching he became head of the microbiology department and lead researcher for National Biochemical Company.
He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church.   He enjoyed model HO trains, gardening and was working on a book about his life.  He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather and a public servant.
The funeral visitation and memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Advent Lutheran Church 1516 Edison St. Uniontown, OH 44685.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m.  internment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown following the memorial service.
