Daughn L. Mount, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world on January 5, 2025, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. Born on September 26, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio, Daughn was a beacon of love and devotion, deeply committed to her family.

A proud graduate of Marlington High School, class of 1980, Daughn carried the spirit of her educational journey into her life as a loving matriarch. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was lovingly tending to her garden, spending cherished moments outdoors, or preparing delicious meals for those she cared about. Her talent for cooking and her passion for arts and crafts provided countless happy memories for her family, each dish and creation infused with love and warmth.

Daughn’s heart was especially filled with joy when surrounded by her beloved children. She was a devoted mother to Benjamin (Krista) Mount, instilling in him the values of kindness and togetherness that she held dear. As a grandmother, her love blossomed even further, delighting in the company of her grandchildren: Cole, Kylie, Kaelyn, Camden, Cohen, and Karleigh. Each moment spent with them was treasured, and her role as a great-grandmother to Devon, Cayson, Eliza, and Ahlani only enriched her life more.

Family was at the core of Daughn's existence, and the bond she shared with her husband of 34 years, Ken Mount, siblings, Lauretta (Kevin Schaffer) Stark, Leigh (Jim) Johnson, and Traci (Jeremy) Weaver brought warmth and laughter into her life. Sister -n- Law, Linda Toussant, Brother -N- law, John Mount.  She was a loving aunt to nieces Ann and Aria, and nephews Tony and TJ, Adam Toussant, and Tyler (Amanda) Toussant, Nieces, Rebecca Crowell and Tamara Gertz and several nieces and nephews Lyla, Emmie, Sadie Toussant, Kael, Enoch, Tallon, Hartley Crowell and Dane Gertz who will forever remember her nurturing spirit. Additionally, Daughn formed deep connections with her extended sisters, affectionately known as "The girls," sharing countless memories and support throughout her life.

Daughn’s passion extended beyond her family life; she loved dogs, enjoyed fishing, and embraced the beauty of nature. Her vibrant spirit and compassion resonated deeply with everyone she met. The legacy she leaves behind is one of dedication to family, a love for the outdoors, and an appreciation for the simple joys in life.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Edward and Patricia, and her brother, Daniel Cotterman, who will be waiting for her with open arms.

As we remember Daughn L. Mount, let us carry forward her legacy of love and devotion, cherishing the memories she created and the bonds she nurtured throughout her wonderful life.
