Danny Dayton

Danny R. Dayton passed away January 16, 2021 at Aultman Hospital in Canton at the age of 98.

Danny was born in Bergholz, Ohio on October 3, 1922 to the late John W. and Ruth (Emph) Dayton.  He was a 1940 graduate of Bergholz High School.  He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. Upon returning from the War he worked as a Canton City bus driver and then worked at Macomber’s Steel.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth Dayton, two sons Larry Dayton and Danny W. Dayton, a brother Edward Dayton; and a grandson Michael Dayton.

He is survived by his beloved wife Corrine, daughter Lori (Gary) Bigler, stepson Kevan (Michelle) Lewis, stepson Travis (Jane) Lewis, stepdaughter Kimberly (Rick) Haines, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bible Believers Baptist Church at 5360 East Center Dr. North Canton, OH 44721. A graveside service will take place at 11am Friday January 29, 2021 at Burgholz Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Decker officiating. Friends and family are encouraged share their online condolences at www.deansfuneralhome.com. arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
