Bonita Jones

Bonita Joyce (Criss) Jones, 75, was called home by the Lord February 15, 2020, surrounded by loved ones, following a brief illness.Bonita, known as Bonnie by her family and friends, was born July 4, 1944 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Ida Criss. Bonnie was a nurse at Copeland Oaks and Crandall Medical Center for 38 years, where she made an impact not only with her patients, but their families, and her co-workers.  She is survived by her 3 children, Robert Scott (Trinette) Jones, Monica (Shawn) Waltz, and Lorena Jones, as well as 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brothers, William (Elaine) Criss, Dennis (Patricia) Criss, Terry (Carrie) Criss, and 1 sister, Suzanne (Kenneth) Flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Jones, sister Joan Rauch, and great-grandson Christopher “CJ” Avila. Calling hours will be held February 20, 2020 from 6-7PM at Dean’s Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio. Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
