Alliance; Alvin Lee Fortner, 61 of 345 E. Grant Street, Alliance passed away after a sudden illness. A lifelong resident of Alliance, he was born August 31, 1954 to Roosevelt Sr. and Florean Fortner

He was a member of New Zion Church. He loved spending his time watching sports and his family. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Florean Fortner and three brothers; Sylvester Payton, Eugene Payton and Bennie Fortner One sister; Nancy Stewart. He is survived by his wife Katrena Fortner who he married Sept. 10, 2005. Roosevelt Foortner::and his children Sheneva Williams, Denise Tucker, Alton Fortner, and Katrease an Kasia Mc Elroy Six grandchildren that he dearly loved and two great grandchildren. Four sisters; Evelyn Avery, Cheryl Gray, Ola Fortner, Candace (Victor) Seals of Alliance. Three brothers; Robert (Alice) Payton of Dayton, Ohio, Willie (Marley) Fortner of St. Pete, Florida, and Roosevelt Fortner Jr.. A host of nieces and nephews, also aunts and uncles A childhood friend Gregory Leath and a special cousin Freeman Kirksey Graveside services will be at the chapel at the Alliance City Cemetery Monday May 23,, 2016 at 12;00 noon Officiating done by Rev Bobby Williams Arrangements by Dean's Funeral Home, Sebring 330 9382744.
