Allan Matthews

Allan "Dale" Matthews of Dennison, Ohio went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2016. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn of 53 years and seven children: Todd (Carolyn) Savage of Campobello Island, NB, Canada, Lana Brooks of TN, Lisa Turner of TN, Susan Crandall of PA, Diane (Mike) Freehahn of OH, Cheryl Harris of OH, and Dawna (Don) Wensel of OH. Dale was a proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Throughout Dale's life he owned several businesses, taught commercial truck driving, and drove long-distance semi for over 30 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, water skiing, and his German Shepherds. Dale was always willing to drop everything for anyone in need of help.

Services will be held on November 19, 2016 at Bible Baptist Church at 1260 Monroe St., New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Services begin at 1:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Roxford Cemetery. Immediately following the graveside service, all are welcome to join us back at the Church to honor Dale's last wishes of being surrounded by loved ones for a Thanksgiving themed banquet.
